There are two big supermarkets in Aosta:

Gros Cidac

This is next to the ski lift to Pila -so it's very handy for getting the shopping after a day's skiing. As you come out of the ski lift, it is directly in front of you. There is a fence between the ski lift car park and Gros Cidac, so you can either drive around to the supermarket, or walk through the hole that is almost always in the fence.

Carrefour

Carrefour is very close to the motorway exit for Aosta East, in a big retail park called “Autoporto”. It is on the south side of the motorway.

Cheese Shop and Cellar

Chez Duclos is the best place to buy local cheeses. It has a huge selection of local cheese in a cellar next to the shop, and visitors are welcome to try before they buy. It is on the way down to Aosta, just before the split between the road to Aosta and the tunnel to the motorway. Bear right towards Valpelline, and at the mini roundabout, follow signs to Valpelline. It is 500 metres from the roundabout on the right hand side.
