Having recently returned from a great holiday at Terra Alpina I cannot recommend it more highly for a relaxed, inexpensive family ski holiday. The views are breathtaking, the skiing varied, the locals friendly and the apartments themselves stylishly and considerately renovated. Everything had been thought of and worked brilliantly with four families staying as we could all be together for skiing and apres ski but then retreat to our apartments for a good nights sleep! The combination of having great modern facilities - great bath and shower, without having taken away all of the rustic charm really works. We will definitely be returning, perhaps next time to savour the summer mountain air and see the mountains green rather than white for a change.

We really enjoyed the peace and quiet of Terra Alpina, tremendous views, good facilities and decent layout. Obviously you have put a lot of work into it and have done a great job so far. Would we book again? Yes, we loved the area, the apartment, the friendliness of the Italians and the skiing was fabulous and ideal for our kids at their ages and stages.

It's very difficult to do justice to just how perfect a setting Terra Alpina is situated in. When we first arrived, the scale of the mountains facing you from every direction was breathtaking. Obviously in the Alps you see nothing but mountains, but the view from here was one that will stay with us. The apartment itself was a pleasant surprise, the price had been so reasonable yet everything about it was four star. From the luxurious and tasteful bathroom to the newly fitted and well equipped kitchen it was all such a treat, luxurious. If I have a complaint it would be that the wood burning stove was too efficient, within seconds of getting it alight the whole apartment was like an oven- wonderful.

We chose the place because we had planned trips to Milan and Turin but we liked Aosta and the ski resort of Pila so much that we never bothered going elsewhere - in fact we'd have liked longer to have explored it more. Apart from a great deal of historical interest, we were charmed by the absence of large chains in the town, the abundance of great local produce, the variety of cafes, and the overall lack of pretension about the place. We'd go again tomorrow.

Just wanted to say a big thank you for such a wonderful time at Terra Alpina. It was everything we could wish for for our honeymoon and we had a really fantastic week. Thanks also for our ski lesson which proved to be a real revelation! we're completely converted to skiing in Italy now, and found ourselves singing Pila's praises all over Chamonix where the snow wasn't as good and the slopes were very crowded! We hope very much to return to Terra Alpina soon.
